Revealed: Roberto De Zerbi’s cheap Brighton release clause

Roberto De Zerbi has a release clause in his Brighton contract...

Roberto De Zerbi has made a flying start to life at Brighton.

The Seagulls may have feared the lost when they lost Graham Potter to Chelsea but they have only gone from strength to strength.

The Italian has seen them climb into sixth place and to within just six points of the top four with a game in hand.

De Zerbi’s release clause

Roberto De Zerbi has a release clause at Brighton worth just €13 million, according to journalist Daniele Longo.

The Italian only joined Brighton back in September and already has plenty of suitors.

He is doing a great job with the Seagulls who are on course for a European finish and a strong push to win the FA Cup.

€13 million certainly feels quite cheap when you consider that Chelsea paid around £16 million for Graham Potter.

The south coast club could therefore face a real fight to keep the 43-year-old at the Amex.
