Revealed: Real Madrid’s predicted starting XI to face Barcelona

An insight into the XI of stars expected to be made use of by Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti for the club’s meeting with Barcelona has been provided late on Saturday evening.

The latest edition of one of world football’s most historic rivalries, of course, is set to play out in Spain in less than 24 hours’ time.

The matchup in question will see the aforementioned Real make the trip to the Camp Nou, amid efforts to hunt down Xavi Hernandez’s runaway La Liga table-toppers Barcelona.

The former will head into proceedings brimming with confidence, after keeping alive hopes of retaining their Champions League title by way of a comfortable downing of Premier League giants Liverpool in midweek.

And, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media late on Saturday is anything to go by, then Carlo Ancelotti is ready to trust the same crop of players to get the job done on the domestic front this weekend.

As per a report from Diario AS, Real Madrid will take to the pitch in Catalunya’s capital unchanged from Wednesday night.

This would mean Eduardo Camavinga retaining his spot ahead of Aurelien Tchouameni, Nacho continuing to deputise at left-back, and Karim Benzema, an injury doubt in the buildup to the clash, leading the line.

Real Madrid’s predicted XI to face Barcelona:

Thibaut Courtois, Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger, Nacho, Luka Modric, Eduardo Camavinga, Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, Vinicius Junior, Karim Benzema
