Revealed: Conte’s furious reaction in his press conference to Kane’s winner being ruled out by VAR & the stipulations of his touchline ban

Antonio Conte was seething after VAR rule out Harry Kane’s last minute winner...

VAR produced one of its most controversial decisions so far as it ruled out Harry Kane’s last-gasp winner.

It took around 5 minutes for a decision to be made with the margins being just so tight.

Tottenham were eventually denied a massive three points leaving their Champions League knockout status in the balance.

During and after the match, Antonio Conte was absolutely livid by the decision and his reaction earned him a red card.

Conte storms out of press conference after one question

Later, Conte stormed out of his press conference after just one question clearly still seething about VAR’s decision.

The Italian refused to accept the call to cancel Kane’s winner and he believes the decision was not an honest one.

The win would have sent Spurs through to the next round, however, they must now get a result in Marseille.

A point will be enough to send them through but Tottenham will be keen to top the group.

How Conte’s touchline ban will be applied

Conte was shown a red card for his reaction to VAR chalking off Spurs’ winning goal.

He is now set to miss the north London’s club trip to France where he will be banned from the touchline and dressing room.

Although matters could get worse for him, as depending on the referee’s report, his ban could be extended.

Tottenham are now awaiting for confirmation from UEFA as to why the Italian was shown a red card.

Once they have this information they can appeal the red card.
