Borussia Dortmund starlet Christian Pulisic revealed during an interview with ESPN earlier today that he is a long-time supporter of Premier League giants Manchester United.
Pulisic has emerged as one of world football’s most highly-regarded prospects over the last couple of seasons, after breaking into Borussia Dortmund’s first-team setup at the tender age of 17.
The American youngster, who has already been capped 20 times for his country (and notched 9 goals in that span) has since gone from strength to strength, with his incredible close control, ability to beat his man at will and eye for goal having seen Pulisic added to the wishlist of a number of European heavyweights.
Liverpool have long been named as admirers of the talents of the Pennsylvania native, though reports stemming from England over the last couple of weeks have indicated that the Reds have been joined by Manchester United in expressing an interest in Pulisic.
‘A big fan’
Speaking in an interview with ESPN earlier today, Pulisic was questioned on the rumours of interest from some of Europe’s top sides in his services, as well as reports that he was a Manchester United fan when growing up:
‘Yeah, I was. I was definitely a big fan.’
‘Of course, right now I am under contract with Dortmund and I’m not looking around or doing anything like that so I’m very focused there. But, yeah, it’s cool to hear all this stuff.’
Pulisic was also drawn on the chances of him making a future move to the Premier League, with the 19-year-old refusing to rule out the possibility:
‘Of course, the Premier League is an unbelievable league. You never know in football what can happen, so right now, I’m focused with Dortmund, and yeah, that’s that.’
