PSG chief provides Ramos & Messi future updates

Hope remains that

Luis Campos, director at French giants Paris Saint-Germain, has on Saturday spoken out over the contract situations of two of the club’s star performers.

The players in question? Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi.

Iconic pair Ramos and Messi, of course, surprised the masses in swapping Spain for France in the summer of 2021, bringing an end to wonderful respective stints with Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Last season proved to be something of a disappointment for both players, in particular Ramos, who managed to string together just eight Ligue 1 starts owing to a series of fitness problems.

The early weeks of the 2022/23 term, though, have seen Ramos and Messi alike enjoy major upturns in form.

The former has already come close to matching his league start tally from last season, whilst 7-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi has looked close to his brilliant best, en route to five goals and eight assists across all competitions.

As things stand, both Messi and Ramos will be permitted to depart the Parc des Princes for nothing in the summer of 2023.

PSG’s sporting director, though, appears hopeful that the La Liga legends will ultimately opt to extend their current terms:
