Potter provides positive Fofana update ahead of Chelsea vs Wolves

Graham Potter spoke to the media on Friday afternoon ahead of Chelsea’s next outing.

Chelsea face off with Wolves on Saturday at 3 pm UK time at Stamford Bridge.

Ahead of the match, Potter discussed a number of topics, including team news.

And it is fairly positive for the Blues, with Wesley Fofana’s injury vs Milan not as bad as first feared: “Wesley’s knee is not as bad as we thought so that is good. It will be a few weeks I think but considerably better than it could be.

“t’s a possibility [to play before World Cup]. [Kante] is doing more integration with the team but still not ready.”

Potter was also asked if Chelsea are on track for the top four, to which he responded: “We’ve made a little bit of progress in terms of from the first day to now, as you would expect and hope. A long way to go. We’ve got a lot of games to play so rather than think too much about the end of the season, let’s just think about the next game.”

Chelsea vs Wolves

Chelsea head into the Wolves game on the back of a 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League and a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

As for Wolves, they are currently 18th in the decision with just one win from eight, which led to Bruno Lage being sacked earlier this week.

No new manager has been appointed at the time of writing.
