Photo: Neymar shows off alarming state of ankle injury

Brazil talisman Neymar has taken to social media on Saturday evening, to provide a fresh insight into his injury recovery efforts.

The name of attacker Neymar, of course, took its place front and centre in the headlines once more earlier this week.

This came upon the Paris Saint-Germain standout being forced into a late departure from his country’s World Cup group stage opening day downing of Serbia.

After coming in for rough treatment on the part of Serbia’s stars throughout proceedings, a blow to the ankle left Neymar grounded, and in evident pain.

In making his way from the field of play, photos, in turn, swiftly came to the fore, giving rise to altogether understandable concern surrounding the wellbeing of the 30-year-old.

On the back of a round of medical tests, Neymar, as a result, was ruled out of both of Brazil’s remaining group stage fixtures.

And now, as alluded to above, a fresh insight into the gifted wide-man’s condition has been forthcoming online.

The update comes by way of Neymar himself, who took to his official Instagram account a short time ago to unveil photos of his still heavily swollen ankle:
