Pep Guardiola reveals when John Stones will be back from injury

Guardiola has revealed when John Stones is due back to action...

Manchester City have already had their fair share of injuries this season with Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva.

John Stones has also been struggling with injury and his return to action date has been set.

The defender is currently out with a thigh injury.

Stones sidelined

Pep Guardiola has revealed that John Stones will be back from injury after the international break.

Guardiola said: “Stones will not be ready until after the international break.”

The next international break is from September 4 to September 12.

Kevin De Bruyne is also set for a long spell on the sidelines with the midfielder out for four to five months.

City still have plenty of options in defence and midfield though, so their absences will not be too much of a concern.

In better news, Bernardo Silva is set to return on the weekend after recovering from an illness.

Next up for the Premier League champions is a trip to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United.
