Pep Guardiola has been speaking to the press ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Tottenham, and provided an update on Jack Grealish’s fitness.
The Sky Blues will take on Antonio Conte’s men in Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off.
Ahead of the game, Pep Guardiola discussed a number of topics during his pre-match media exchange, including Jack Grealish’s injury issue.
On City’s injury news as a whole, the Spaniard stated: “We are going to train now in two hours and we will speak with the doctors.”
“I didn’t talk with the doctor but we will see. I don’t think he will be ready for tomorrow but hopefully for the next weeks.”
PEP (on Grealish injury) 💬 I am not a doctor, I am sorry. The shin, the symptoms seem much less than last season (at Villa).
I didn’t talk with the doctor but we will see. I don’t think he will be ready for tomorrow but hopefully for the next weeks.

Manchester City vs Tottenham
Manchester City head into the Tottenham game boasting a nine-point lead atop the Premier League.
However, as Liverpool boast a game in hand, that gap could be reduced to six points fairly quickly.
And with the Reds in fine form, Man City cannot really afford to drop any points against Tottenham, especially with Liverpool set to play out a considerably more straightforward (on paper, at least) meeting with Norwich City this weekend.
The Sky Blues, though, will face Spurs at a pretty ideal time. Antonio Conte’s side have slipped down to 8th in the Premier League table after losing their last three league matches.
Tottenham could still climb back into the European spots by winning their games in hand, but recent form suggests that the Lilywhites will find it tough to do so.
