Paris Saint-Germain ready offer ‘far in excess of £500,000′ per week in last ditch effort to keep Kylian Mbappe

Amid the narrative strewn clash of Paris Saint-Germain hosting Real Madrid at the Parc des Princes in their Champions League round of 16 first leg, that surrounding Kylian Mbappe stood out.

The Frenchman, currently at PSG, is wanted by Los Blancos and that desire is seemingly reciprocated on the player's side. To make it even more interesting, he is out of contract in the summer as it stands.

Mbappe, of course, took centre stage in the game itself too, with his injury time winner a goal that left fans in disbelief at just how good he truly is. Being critical, the attacker was able to bypass the Real Madrid defence easily, but it was hard not to see shades of Thierry Henry in the dynamism with which he operated.

'People talk about me and my future, it's normal - but as a player for Paris Saint-Germain I will give everything I have'.

'I can confirm that my future has not yet been decided - and this game with Real Madrid will not change anything', he added.

PSG ready mammoth deal

Now, the Independent report that PSG are readying one last mammoth contract offer worth 'well in excess' of half a million pounds per week in order to try to keep Mbappe at the club. They recognise just how good the Frenchman is and could still become, as well as his importance to the image of the club.

Such a contract would make Mbappe by far the highest-paid player in world football, and could yet convince him to continue plying his trade in France. It all depends on just how much he wants to become a Galactico.
