Skipp showed great promise at the beginning of last season when Nuno Espirito Santo was at the helm.
However, injuries, poor form from Tottenham and a change in manager led to the midfielder struggling for minutes.
This season, meanwhile, Skipp has made six Premier League appearances but only notched 127 minutes of action.
This is because Antonio Conte has preferred to start Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur in midfield.
And despite losing his spot to them, Skipp has revealed said duo are the two players he has been learning from:
βI think the level of the club, of all the clubs in the Premier League, is increasing all the time. Weβre in the Champions League this year, weβve got internationals in every position – internationals that havenβt played much either – so the quality is there and we know that as a squad we have talent all over the pitch. As a club, weβre always looking to improve as well, so that keeps everyone on their toes,β Skipp said in an interview with the clubβs most recent matchday programme.
Those βpeopleβ are Bentancur and Hojbjerg and Skipp admits he has been studying the dup closely to add to his learning in the past year.
βTo be fair, those two especially have been brilliant this season,β he continued. βI think in the last month or so theyβve even gone on another level again, so Iβm watching and learning from them, trying to take bits from their games and seeing what theyβre doing well at the moment.
βTheyβre getting more goals and assists this season which theyβve added to their game, so theyβve been fantastic for us and credit to them. I think all the midfield group, with Yves and the young lads as well, Harvey White and Pape Matar Sarr, weβre all pushing each other.β
