Sand: “It is better that he receives medical follow-up at the club”
Norwegian national team doctor Ola Sand has revealed that Haaland has had to return to Manchester City for further assessments.
The striker has suffered a groin injury and will struggle to make matches against both Spain and Georgia.
Norway were hoping it was just a knock that would see him ok to play Saturday but it was determined it would be best for him to return to his club.
Sand said: “We hoped that this was just a familiarity that would carry over to Saturday, but after doing tests and examinations yesterday it became clear that he will not make it to the games against Spain and Georgia.
“It is better that he receives medical follow-up at the club.”
