Chelsea’s latest Kanté contract offer

An agreement between N’Golo Kanté and Chelsea is getting closer following the Blues’ latest offer, according to Foot Mercato.

The west London club have offered a base salary almost equivalent to his current one plus bonuses related to appearances.

The deal is expected to run until 2026.

The 31-year-old has always been keen to renew with Chelsea and that now looks set to happen.

The renewal of Kanté would be a major boost for Graham Potter whose side are really light in midfield.

The Frenchman has struggled with injuries in recent times but remains one of the best midfielders in world football.
