Mykhailo Mudryk set Premier League record on Chelsea debut

Mykhailo Mudryk has set a Premier League record following his first outing for Chelsea.

Mykhailo Mudryk made his Chelsea debut on Saturday. The winger joined the Blues this month for a staggering £89m.

Graham Potter opted not to start the Ukrainian vs Liverpool in the day’s early kick-off.

However, Mudryk caught the eye during a 35-minute cameo, setting up a number of openings and hitting the side netting after fine work inside the area, but was unable to make the occasion with a goal.

Now, following the game, it has been revealed that Mudryk set a Premier League record.

As per Goal, Chelsea signing Mykhailo Mudryk clocked the fastest top speed in the 2022/23 Premier League season, hitting a high of 36.63 kilometres per hour in the Blues’ January 2023 fixture against Liverpool.

Mudryk’s figures are just above Anthony Gordon who recorded 36.61 km/h, with Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez and Manchester City star Erling Haaland following with top speeds of 36.53 km/h and 36.22 km/h respectively.

Chelsea have a second player on the list in Denis Zakaria, who hit a top speed of 36.09 km/h.
