Supporters of Arsenal have taken to social media in their numbers on Saturday evening, to single one member of the club’s midfield setup out for special praise.
Mikel Arteta’s troops, of course, were back in action a short time ago.
On the back of a stellar opening to the new campaign, the Gunners welcomed capital rivals Fulham to the Emirates, hopeful of making it 12 points from 12.
And, despite a scare, when all was said and done, emerge triumphant once more is precisely what Arsenal managed.
It was visitors Fulham who opened the scoring in the clash, upon Aleksandar Mitrovic capitalising on a major mistake on the part of Gabriel Magalhaes early in the 2nd-half.

Arsenal, though, quickly gathered themselves, levelling things up eight minutes later courtesy of Martin Odegaard, before the aforementioned Gabriel enjoyed the ultimate redemption arc in notching what proved to be the game’s winner five minutes from time.
