Mohamed Salah makes Jurgen Klopp claim after Liverpool 2-Napoli 0

Mohamed Salah has been discussing Jurgen Klopp and his return to the right-wing position post-Napoli.

Liverpool headed into their final Champions League group game with qualification already secured.

However, to take top spot from Napoli, the Reds would have had to beat the Serie A side by four goals due to their much worse goal difference.

But when all was said and done at Anfield, Liverpool only won 1-0.

Napoli thought they had taken the lead 53 minutes in. The away side won a free-kick and Ostigard headed in unmarked to make it 1-0, but it was ruled out for offside after a long VAR check.

Mohamed Salah then won the match in the 85th minute. Darwin Nunez saw his header saved off the line and Salah stabbed home the loose ball.

Nunez then tapped in Van Dijk’s header in injury time to make it 2-0.

The Egyptian also spoke of the need to follow Klopp and his tactics:

“It’s not my job, it’s the gaffer’s job,” he told BT Sport. “Any position that makes me comfortable, I’m happy about it, but I’ve played in the position for five, six years, I have to say yes, that position is the best for me. But I’m not the manager, the manager decides the tactics and, as a player, you have to follow the leader.”
