Mikel Arteta sends warning to Manchester City despite Arsenal dip

Arsenal’s form has dropped off in recent weeks.

Last weekend saw the Gunners lose 1-0 to a struggling Everton side.

Luckily for Arsenal, Manchester City also lost that weekend vs Tottenham.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side also dropped points this week when they faced off with Brentford on Saturday.

Granted, Brentford’s goal was offside and it was the VAR officials who did not do their job properly.

But if Manchester City beat Aston Villa on Sunday and then pick up a win vs Arsenal next week, they will go top of the table – even if Arsenal still have a game in hand.

Despite this, Arteta has warned that his team are still in a great place:

“It’s not an issue the way the boys tried, and I look at their body language, their intentions and how much they want it, and the reaction when they drop two points, the way they dropped them. They are in a great place.”
