Maurico Pochettino sends message to Chelsea squad amid dire form

Chelsea have had a horrendous start to the new season.

Chelsea fell to a 1-0 defeat vs Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues have now won one, drawn two and lost three games so far this campaign.

This bad run of form leaves Chelsea 14th in the Premier League and already well off the pace of the top-four.

Chelsea were not helped by Marlo Gusto on Sunday, who was sent off vs Villa.

Following the game, Mauricio Pochettino urged his side to grow up:

“We need to grow up like a team”, Pochettino admitted. “A player like Nico is so young and is feeling the Premier League and is learning. He made the mistake. We feel disappointed because we are paying for too many situations like this.

“First half we deserved a little bit more. I think we had control of the game. After the red card, the game changed. With 11 men and 10 men, it’s two different games.”
