Arsenal spent the majority of 2022/23 sat top of the Premier League with a decent lead over Manchester City.
However, the Gunners drew three games in a row vs Liverpool, West Ham and Southampton.
They then lost a crucial clash with Manchester City to put the Sky Blues in the driver’s seat.
The final nail in the coffin came on Sunday, though, as Arsenal succumbed to a 3-0 defeat vs Brighton.
Following that match, Martin Odegaard has revealed the reaction of the Arsenal dressing room:
“It is not a good feeling at the moment,” he said. “The way we played, particularly in the second half, I don’t know what happened to be honest. It feels like there is no hope now.
“We wanted to come here and continue like we have in the last two games, get a good result and keep pushing. It is a big disappointment [in the dressing room].
“I don’t think mentality was an issue. We were good going into the game but in the game was a different story and we have to accept it and learn from it.”
