Marcus Rashford made Manchester United history vs Arsenal

Marcus Rashford has earned a spot in the history books on Sunday.

Manchester United and Arsenal clashed in the final Premier League game before the international break on Sunday.

At the time of writing, the score is locked at 1-1.

Arsenal dominated the opening stages of the game but Manchester United took the lead through a stunning Marcus Rashford strike after 26 minutes, which was the first shot on target of the match.

However, Manchester United’s lead lasted just 35 seconds thanks to Gabriel Martinelli picking up a free Martin Odegaard inside the United box, with the Norweigan cooly slotting an effort into the bottom right corner of Andre Onana’s net.

Following Rashford’s opening goal, it has been revealed that the Manchester United man has made history.

As per Opta, Marcus Rashford is the second Manchester United player to score in three consecutive Premier League appearances against Arsenal, after Robin van Persie, who did so in 2012 and 2013.
