Manchester United and Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been involved in a car crash on Monday morning, it has been reported.

The Evening Standard via the PA news agency report that Fernandes has escaped serious injury after reportedly being involved in a car crash on Monday morning.

They add that all parties involved in the crash emerged relatively unscathed, it has been reported, with Fernandes in a Porsche at the time.

Though not confirmed, Fernandes was seemingly heading to training with Manchester United ahead of their meeting with Liverpool on Tuesday, as the ES report that Fernandes was still set to train ahead of his team’s derby with Liverpool on Tuesday despite the incident.

Ralf Rangnick is expected to provide a further update in his press conference on Monday afternoon.

Liverpool vs Manchester United

Manchester United face off with Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday evening.

The game is a must-win for both sides, with Liverpool looking to overtake Manchester City atop of the Premier League and Manchester United looking to gain some ground on 4th-place Tottenham.

However, in truth, United are serious underdogs for this clash with Liverpool now a class above their bitter rivals.

Jurgen Klopp's side are still on course to clinch a quadruple, whilst Man United are not even guaranteed a spot in next season's Champions League.
