Manchester United were in FA Cup 4th round action vs Championship outfit Reading.

In the end, the Red Devils came away with a comfortable win on the day, in large part due to the stellar display of Casemiro, who netted twice in a 3-1 win.

However, Casemiro’s midfield partner at Manchester United, Christian Eriksen, did not fare so well on the day.

The 30-year-old was replaced by Fred shortly after United had taken the lead, having picked up a knock following a robust tackle from Reading forward Andy Carroll.

Eriksen has been a key player for United in his debut season, and after the match, Ten Hag was asked for an injury update on the former Tottenham man.

β€œIt is always difficult to say so short after the game finished,” he said. β€œBut it is an ankle injury, and we have to see what is the diagnosis.”

They then clash with Crystal Palace in the Premier League next weekend.
