Manchester United handed another major blow ahead of Barcelona

Manchester United will be without a key player vs Barcelona.

Manchester United travel to Spain on February 16 for a Europa League Round of 32 clash.

Both Barcelona and Manchester United are in good form heading into the match, with the former currently sat eight points clear atop of La Liga.

However, La Blaugrana have been handed a blow ahead of what is sure to be a tight affair.

Sergio Busquets will likely miss the game after spraining his ankle ligament during Barca’s 3-0 win over Sevilla last week.

As for Manchester United, they are set to be without three key players for the clash.

Christian Eriksen is, of course, a long-term absentee and likely to be out until April.

Both players have already picked up too many yellow cards in Europe this season, with Sabitzer’s three yellows from the Champions League group stage carrying over to the Europa League.

This leaves Manchester United with virtually no defenders or midfielders who are capable of progressing the ball forward on Thursday.
