Manchester United fans criticise duo during Bournemouth clash

Manchester United are currently locked in Premier League action with Bournemouth.

Manchester United headed into the Bournemouth game looking to gain ground on their top-four rivals.

After picking up a win over Wolves last time out, Manchester United were just four points off Manchester City ahead of kick-off on Tuesday.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, have been inconsistent during their latest return to the Premier League but still posed a threat to Erik ten Hag and co.

At the time of writing, the score is 1-0 to Manchester United thanks to a Casemiro effort 23 minutes in.

Manchester United had a penalty shout inside the first 10 minutes, whilst Anthony Martial glanced a header wide.

After what has been a fairly average start to the game from the Red Devils, two Manchester United stars have come in for heavy criticism from the United faithful, despite their side going 1-0 up.

Said duo are Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof. With Lisandro Martinez only recently returning from his World Cup triumph, Ten Hag has been starting Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw at centre-back.

However, Shaw is back on the left vs Bournemouth and Varane has been benched. And so far, fans are far from happy with their replacement, with many suggesting Maguire and Lindelof slow United’s build-up play down too much:
