Manchester City star ruled out of Real Madrid clash

Manchester City will be without a key man when they face Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Nathan Ake has been crucial for Manchester City since their impressive run started back in February.

The Dutchman has taken up the left-back position/left centre-back in a back-three role very well.

However, the stopper did suffer an injury recently which saw him miss two games.

Nathan Ake returned to action for the Citizens, starting vs West Ham and Leeds United.

However, the centre-back was subbed off vs Leeds on May 6 with a hamstring injury.

This saw him miss the first leg vs Madrid, with Manuel Akanji deputising instead. He also missed the 3-0 win over Everton this past weekend.

“Expect Nathan, everyone is fit,” the City boss told reporters on Tuesday.

A huge blow for Manchester City but if they can see off Real Madrid on Wednesday, they will be heavy, heavy favourites for the Champions League final where they will face off with Inter Milan, who beat rivals AC Milan on Tuesday.
