Supporters of Manchester United have flooded to social media on Thursday evening, to take aim at head coach Erik ten Hag.
United, of course, were back in action a short time ago.
Amid ongoing efforts to stave off the challenge of Newcastle United in the battle for 3rd in the Premier League table, the Red Devils made the trip to north London, for a meeting with stuttering Tottenham Hotspur.
And, with 45 minutes on the clock, Ten Hag and co. looked firmly in control of proceedings.
This came as goals on the part of Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford guided United into a deserved two-goal lead.
Emphatic finish from Marcus Rashford😐👈

On the other side of the interval, however, it was Tottenham who dominated.
The lead evaporates! 😬
It’s that duo again 🤷♂️

On the back of the full-time whistle bringing proceedings in England’s capital to a close, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the Manchester United faithful being up in arms online.
Many, though, have not opted to take their frustrations out on the club’s stars.
Instead, boss Erik ten Hag has been heavily targeted.
This comes as the Dutchman faces widespread accusations of essentially costing his side two points, owing to a slate of questionable 2nd-half substitutions:
That result is Ten Hag’s fault. In game management poor AGAIN

– Sancho had no business going off tonight.
– Wan-Bissaka was defending with his life & should have played 90mins.
– Eriksen off for Sabitzer & not Fred.
– Weghorst & Malacia had NO business coming on.
– Erik ten Hag should blame himself in postmatch interview.#TOTMUN

It’s like Ten Hag has used this game to allow players to dig their own graves. Fred, Malacia, Weghorst, Martial all awful..
