Supporters of Premier League giants Manchester United have taken to social media in their numbers on Thursday evening, to single one member of Erik ten Hag’s squad out for special praise.
The Red Devils, of course, are currently locked in action.
Amid a timely recent upturn in form, United have made the trip to Moldova, for a Europa League group stage meeting with Sheriff.
Ten Hag’s troops headed into proceedings in the knowledge that a three-point haul was an absolute must, on the back of an opening day defeat at the hands of Real Sociedad at Old Trafford.
And, as things stand on Thursday, all three points is precisely what the evening’s visitors are headed towards.
After Jadon Sancho opened the scoring at the Zimbru Stadium in style, Cristiano Ronaldo put the Red Devils all but out of sight with his side’s 2nd shortly before the interval, notching his first goal of the campaign in the process.
It is not those members of Man United’s ranks to have made the difference on the scoresheet to this point in Thursday’s action, though, who have since been most widely lavished in praise.
Instead, this honour has been reserved for a member of the Reds’ engine room setup.
