Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has, on Friday, provided an update on the club’s ongoing efforts to tie Marcus Rashford down to a new contract.
Hitman Rashford, of course, has established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet of boss Ten Hag across the season to date.
Looking refocused and reinvigorated, the England international has dazzled from his berth on the left flank, racking up a head-turning 29 goals, to go along with 11 assists.
In turn, it has come as little surprise, for some time now, to hear of the powers that be on the red half of Manchester pushing Rashford to put pen to paper on fresh terms with the club.
The 25-year-old was hotly tipped for an Old Trafford exit last summer, when he is understood to have been identified as the ideal long-term replacement for Paris Saint-Germain sensation Kylian Mbappe.

In the end, Rashford evidently stayed put, with several outlets having since gone as far as to suggest that this came after he rejected a proposal worth a whopping £400,000-per-week in Paris.
And United’s boss went on to confirm that, as far as he is aware, ‘Rashford wants to stay’.
In turn, Ten Hag appears confident that contract negotiations between the parties, when all is said and done, will give rise to a positive outcome.
