Man United boss Rangnick aims dig at Everton after Goodison Park defeat


 

Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick opted to aim a less than subtle dig at Everton, on the back of his side's defeat to the Toffees on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils were, of course, back in action a short time ago.

Fresh off the back of another disappointing result at home to Leicester City last time out, Rangnick and co. made the trip to Goodison Park, aware that nothing but a three-point haul would do up against a relegation-battling Everton outfit.

When all was said and done on Merseyside, however, things only went from bad to worse for the day's visitors.

A solitary goal on the part of Anthony Gordon inside the opening half hour of action ultimately proved enough to guide Everton to all three points, plunging United ever further into despair in the process.

'Conceded three to Burnley...'

On the back of the action coming to a close on Saturday afternoon, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick being in an altogether foul humour.

And, speaking during his post-match exchange with the media, the German allowed his frustrations to somewhat get the better of him.

When drawn on the latest dismal showing put forth by his side at Goodison Park, Rangnick, in one fell swoop, appeared to aim something of a dig at not only Everton, but Sean Dyche's Burnley, too:
