Word stemming from the media on Saturday suggests that Italian giants Juventus have come to the decision to place a core member of the club's midfield setup on the transfer market.

The player in question? Adrien Rabiot.

French international Rabiot has spent the last three seasons plying his trade in Turin, since opting to call time on his spell with Paris Saint-Germain upon the conclusion of his contract in 2019.

The 27-year-old's ensuing stint in Italy, though, has proven something of a hit-and-miss affair.

Though flashes of his unquestionable brilliance have been on display on occasion, all told, Rabiot has simply not performed to the kind of level expected of him on a consistent enough basis to win over the Bianconeri faithful.

In turn, it should not come as a massive surprise to hear of word surfacing this weekend that the 29-time capped international has been made available for transfer by those in a position of power at the Allianz Stadium.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Rabiot 'has been included in Juventus' transfer list', with the player himself also keen on the prospect of a new challenge.

A number of Premier League clubs, in turn, are understood to be 'exploring the possibility' of landing the midfielder.

And one such English outfit said to be particularly keen on Rabiot's services comes in the form of Manchester United.

Recent weeks have of course seen the Red Devils widely tipped to seek out reinforcements in the middle of the park, ahead of the imminent departures of both Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.

It has therefore been suggested that Rabiot, with just a year remaining on his contract in Turin, has been identified as the ideal cut-price option to slot into the engine room of incoming boss Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, alongside fellow midfield target Frenkie de Jong.
