Lucas Digne sends message to Aston Villa fans after debut vs Man United

Aston Villa star Lucas Digne has taken to social media on Saturday evening, to send a message to the club’s supporter base.

Coutinho steals the show

Steven Gerrard’s men were back in action earlier this evening.

After being ousted from the FA Cup at the hands of Manchester United by means of a 3rd successive defeat across all competitions earlier this week, the Villans turned their attentions back towards matters in the Premier League, in another meeting with the Red Devils.

And, this time round, Gerrard and co. enjoyed a far more fruitful day’s work.

After falling 2-0 down owing to a brace on the part of Bruno Fernandes, Villa came roaring back late on, pulling one back courtesy of Jacob Ramsey, before bagging an all-important equaliser with 82 minutes on the clock.

Philippe Coutinho, introduced off the bench for his debut in Claret and Blue after joining the club on loan from Barcelona earlier this week, stole in at the back post to slot beyond the helpless David de Gea, securing a share of the spoils for his side in the process:

‘Thank you’

Coutinho, though, was not the only player to have marked his Aston Villa bow on Saturday.

Joining the former Liverpool man was Lucas Digne, afforded a start on the left of the hosts’ backline just days on from his arrival from Premier League rivals Everton.

And, as alluded to above, post-match, the Frenchman has taken to social media, to send a personal message to fans of his new club.

In response to a congratulatory post on the part of the Villans, Digne took to the comments section, to say ‘thank you’ to those in attendance at Villa Park earlier this evening:
