Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold speaks out on trophy ambitions

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has recently been speaking about his trophy ambitions.

Liverpool are one of the best teams in Europe right now and, like Manchester City, are expected to go deep in the Champions League this term.

However, though Klopp has some of the best players in the world like Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, the German has only won two major trophies with Liverpool.

But Liverpool have won also the Club World Cup and Super Cup and now, Trent Alexander-Arnold has been speaking about his trophy ambitions going forward:

“I think there will never be enough. There will never be a number that will satisfy me,” Alexander-Arnold stated when discussing his trophy ambitions recently.

“Once you reach that limit, you realise, “Oh, I can have a couple more.” I’m just living in the moment, trying to win every season and then when I’m finished, I’ll be able to look back on what I achieved.”

Liverpool vs Chelsea

The Reds are set to face off with Chelsea at Wembley in the 2022 League Cup final.

Jurgen Klopp has never won the League Cup with Liverpool and has shown in the past that he cares very little for the English domestic cups.

Now, however, the German is no doubt keen to pick up the win this Sunday to further cement his legacy as an all-time great in the eyes of the Liverpool faithful.

The Merseysiders also head into the game in much better form than Chelsea, who continue to struggle for goals and are now very much out of the Premier League title race.
