Liverpool team news and predicted XI vs Bournemouth

All the latest from Anfield

Liverpool travel to Bournemouth knowing that they can briefly move into the top four of the Premier League with a win on the south coast.

The Cherries, who were only beaten by a last-minute winner from Premier League leaders Arsenal last Saturday, sit rock bottom of the division and boast the worst goal difference in the top flight, with Liverpool having beaten them 9-0 earlier in the season.

It could well be a repeat, with the Reds coming off a 7-0 hammering of Manchester United. Here’s how we expect Jurgen Klopp’s side to line up and the latest team news coming out of Anfield ahead of the clash.

Predicted XI

Team News

Luis Diaz could make a long-awaited return to action after being sidelined with a knee injury since the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal, but is almost certain to be among the substitutes should he do so.

Meanwhile, Klopp faces a tough juggling act, knowing that he needs a 3 goal win in the second leg of the Champions League against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in midweek, while also knowing how unlikely it is that Liverpool will be able to turn that around.

We could see some minor rotation, with Jordan Henderson likely to start in Madrid and unlikely to play twice in 4 days, while Andy Robertson’s workload could also be managed.

The front three that terrorised Manchester United is also likely to remain the same, with both Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez beginning to find their feet under Klopp since their recent arrivals.

Joe Gomez and Naby Keita could also both make welcome returns after injury layoffs, but Thiago is expected to be out for another week with his own groin issue.
