Liverpool headed into the game looking to get revenge on Brighton after their last encounter.
The Seagulls put three past Liverpool recently in a Premier League match.
And, at the time of writing, the score remains deadlocked at 0-0 but both sides have come close to opening the scoring.
Liverpool had the first decent chance of the game when Mohamed Salah saw his chance cleared off the line by Lewis Dunk.
Brighton had a chance of their own cleared off the line 14 minutes in, this time by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Following the Seagulls’ chance, one Liverpool player has come in for heavy criticism online.
