Leicester City team news and predicted XI vs Leeds United

All the latest from the King Power

Leicester City face a season defining clash as they travel to fellow relegation-scrappers Leeds United on Tuesday night, knowing that three points above the Yorkshire side and three points away from the drop zone.

Having won on Saturday, the Foxes pulled themselves out of the relegation zone, and currently sit ahead of 18th placed Everton by virtue of goal difference.

They face a Leeds side in freefall, having conceded 13 goals in their last 3 games and with four defeats in their last five games at a vital point of the season.

Lose, and Leicester would find themselves four points behind Javi Gracia’s side and in a straight fight with Everton over the final relegation spot, while a win would see them pull clear ahead of a favourable run in.

Here’s how we expect them to line up at Elland Road, and the latest team news updates.

Predicted XI

Team News

The Foxes have been handed three massive boosts on the injury front, with all of James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy set to be fit for the clash with Leeds.

Meanwhile, Maddison is also edging closer to a return: ‘Madders came in and did a gym session yesterday. He’ll train today as well, so I’d expect him to be available.’

The game, however, will come too soon for Jonny Evans. ‘Jonny is feeling better. He’s not trained today, so tomorrow will come too quickly for him’, Smith explained.

Long-term absentees Ryan Bertrand, Jannick Vestergaard and James Justin remain out, while Ricardo Pereira remains a couple of weeks away following a hamstring issue.
