Leicester City team news and predicted XI vs Bournemouth

The Foxes play host to the Cherries in a relegation dogfight.

Leicester City continue life without Brendan Rodgers with another relegation six pointer as they face Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Having sacked their long-time coach, the Foxes fell to a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa in midweek to leave them in the relegation zone and two points from safety.

The side above them? None other than this weekend’s opposition Bournemouth, for whom a win could take them up to 13th in the Premier League, and five points ahead of the Foxes who could end the weekend well adrift of safety should other results go against them.

With relegation clashes against Everton, West Ham, Leeds United and Wolves still to come, Adam Sadler’s side will be hoping to pick up some form to take into those games as they look to find 15 points to reach the magical 40 mark that usually signifies safety.

Here’s how we expect the Foxes to line up for the mammoth clash, and the latest team news from the midlands.

Predicted XI

Team News

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will be absent from the clash with the Cherries after the youngster was sent off for two bookable offences against Aston Villa in midweek.

Asked about injuries, Sadler revealed that there was nothing new to report, with defender Jonny Evans rejoining training.

“No injury concerns, so nothing to report”, he explained. “Jonny has trained this morning. Expect Youri to be back with the group next Tuesday to take some part in that.”

It means that James Justin, Ryan Bertrand and Jannick Vestergaard will all be absent from the matchday squad, with the latter having been excluded by Brendan Rodgers and Bertrand and Justin struggling with injuries.
