A headline member of the attacking setup at Championship outfit Leeds United is primed for a move to Aston Villa, it has been revealed.
The player in question? Jack Harrison.
The name of wide-man Harrison has of course taken its place front and centre in the media headlines across the week to date.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the 26-year-old was all set for a return to the Premier League, with Everton.
After the Toffees activated a relegation clause in his contract, Harrison, in turn, went as far as to undergo medical tests on Merseyside this weekend.
As alluded to above, though, at the very last, Everton now look set to miss out.
This comes amid widespread confirmation that Harrison has instead come to the decision to link up with Premier League rivals Aston Villa.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Jack Harrison has decided to join Aston Villa after direct call with Unai Emery.’
Villa, it is added, represented the former Manchester City talent’s preferred destination throughout the summer, with a season-long loan deal, in turn, having today been struck.
The agreement is expected to feature an option to buy in the summer of 2024.
