Latest Leeds manager odds: Javi Gracia emerges as new frontrunner

Former Watford manager Javi Gracia has emerged as the new frontrunner for the vacant Leeds job, according to Betfair’s latest markets.

Caretaker manager Michael Skubala had been backed to stay in the Elland Road hotseat until the end of the season but a dismal 1-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday appears to have put an end to that.

A disjointed recruitment process has left supporters frustrated at the direction of the club since the sacking of Jesse Marsch, with Arne Slot and Andoni Iraola apparently turning down the role, before Alfred Schreuder was ruled out due to fan opinion.

Skubala was given the reigns on a temporary basis in the expectation that a full-time replacement would soon be found, but the failure of the board to do so has left them seriously contemplating giving the role to the manager of the under-21 side.
