A pair of updates on the efforts of Premier League giants Arsenal to add to the club’s playing squad have been provided late on Saturday evening.
The week, to date, has of course proven something of a frantic one on the red half of north London.
This comes with the Arsenal transfer team, after missing out on priority transfer target Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea, having made clear that they have no intention of licking their wounds.
Instead, Edu Gaspar and co. have burst back into action, first clinching a deal for an alternative target in the attacking third, in the form of Brighton & Hove Albion star Leandro Trossard.

This, in turn, has since also been followed by confirmation that the Gunners are pushing hard for fresh blood at the back, too.
After entering into negotiations with Serie A outfit Spezia over defender Jakub Kiwior, the Pole’s transfer to the Emirates, over the last 24 hours, has been labelled as imminent.
The info comes courtesy of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed that Kiwior today underwent his medical examinations at Arsenal’s training ground.
With a €25 million deal already in place between the Gunners and Spezia, the 22-year-old is therefore ready to put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half year contract, after which official confirmation of the transfer will be provided.

And yet, Mikel Arteta and co. don’t appear to be done there, either.
In a further update by way of the aforementioned Romano, it has been confirmed that Arsenal have opened talks with Real Valladolid, over the signing of Ivan Fresneda.
Youngster Fresneda is a highly-regarded right-back, who could well make the move to London before the month is out, in the case of Cedric Soares linking up with Fulham.
