Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to the media ahead of Liverpool’s meeting with West Ham.
The Reds are set to face off with David Moyes' men in Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off.
Ahead of the tie, Klopp has discussed a number of topics, including team news. And the update proved far from welcome on the part of Liverpool's fans, as all of Thiago, Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip are set to miss out against West Ham, whilst Naby Keita and Curtis Jones are doubts, too.
"Strength and depth is really important, but we have some [players] who aren't available. Firmino hasn't trained. Thiago will not be available. Curtis is not bad, but good enough for tomorrow? We will see! Matip is ill, not COVID-19, and he will not be available."
Liverpool vs West Ham
Liverpool head into the weekend’s action still very much hot on the heels of league leaders Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently 2nd in the Premier League table with a six-point gap separating themselves and City.
However, Liverpool do have a game in hand, so that gap could become three points very easily.
The Reds, though, will be well aware of what a tough test West Ham can represent. David Moyes’ side are 5th in the Premier League right now, and are one of just two teams to have beaten Liverpool in 2021/22 so far.
The Hammers caused their upcoming opponents all sorts of issues from set-pieces in their last meeting, coming away with an impressive 3-2 win.
