Jurgen Klopp provides updates on Matip, Diaz & more ahead of Rangers vs Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp spoke to the press on Tuesday evening ahead of Liverpool’s next outing.

Liverpool will take on Rangers in a Champions League clash on Wednesday evening.

Ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp provided injury updates on Joel Matip, Luis Diaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who suffered injuries in the 3-2 loss to Arsenal over the weekend:

“I thought we were hopefully a little bit lucky with Trent because ankle didn’t look good,” he said.

“Lucho (Diaz), it’s six to eight or whatever. He looks a quick healer but we have to be careful. Could have been worse.

“Joel felt a little bit and scan and is out as well. Robbo is in the squad for tomorrow. Curtis, Naby, Ox not.
“It’s good Robbo is back but not that he’ll be in the team.”

Rangers vs Liverpool

Liverpool head into the Rangers game on the back of a poor start to the domestic season, which currently sees them sitting below Fulham and Bournemouth in the Premier League table.

A win over Rangers on Wednesday would likely all but guarantee Liverpool’s spot in the knockout rounds.

However, should they lose, there is a real chance they end up down in the Europa League spot.
