A fresh insight into Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of a leading managerial target has been provided late on Friday evening.
The tactician in question? Julian Nagelsmann.
The name of German headmaster Nagelsmann, of course, has taken its place front and centre on the Lilywhite half of north London over the course of the last couple of weeks.
This comes amid widespread claims that the 35-year-old, recently sent on his way by Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, has been identified as the frontrunner to take his place in the dugout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of next season.
Spurs have of course been forced to reignite the club’s managerial pursuit with a view to the summer, after finally bringing an end to their tumultuous relationship with boss Antonio Conte late in March.

Links with Nagelsmann, meanwhile, have been widely welcomed by the Lilywhites faithful, with the German still widely considered to be one of the continent’s standout tacticians.
Such supporters, in turn, will no doubt be keenly interested in the latest news surrounding his potential arrival in England’s capital.
As much has been provided by insider Fabrizio Romano on Friday night, with the Italian reporting that Nagelsmann remains hesitant to move forward in negotiations with the Tottenham board, until clarification is forthcoming regarding Daniel Levy’s plans to replace director Fabio Paratici.
