Manchester United win 4-2 at Watford

Manchester United once again hit four this Premier League season as they won a difficult away game at Watford.

It was a convincing win in the end, but there was a scare late on as Marco Silva’s Watford once again showed they have plenty of fight about them.

But, substitute Troy Deeney made it 3-1 on 77 minutes from the penalty spot.

And, seven minutes later Abdoulaye Doucoure grabbed another goal for Watford.

With six minutes to go, Watford had hope of securing an unlikely comeback and emulating Sevilla who came back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Liverpool last week.

Jose Mourinho turns to Zlatan Ibrahimovic

With Manchester United’s lead disintegrating, Mourinho turned to his bench and called on Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

As the super Swedish striker was preparing to come on, Jesse Lingard went on a brilliant run and put Manchester United 4-2 up.

Then there was a touching moment as Jose Mourinho hugs Zlatan Ibrahimovic as they celebrate the Manchester United win.

Why Mourinho brought on Zlatan at Watford

Incredibly, Jose Mourinho has confirmed after the game the reason why he bought Zlatan Ibrahimovic onto the pitch at Watford.

You would think it would be down to easing Zlatan back into the fray after his long term injury.

But, Mourinho has revealed that it was in order to mark Heurelho Gomes at corners as Watford looked for the equaliser.

On 88 minutes, Zlatan did replace Lingard. Luckily for Mourinho he didn’t make the substitution when he wanted to!
