Jordan Pickford provides Harry Kane injury update ahead of U.S clash

Harry Kane picked up a knock during England’s win over Iran.

England kicked off their 2022 World Cup campaign vs Iran on Monday.

There was a lot of negativity around the England squad heading into the tournament following their dismal display in the latest UEFA Nations League, which saw them relegated into the second tier of the competiton.

However, a lot of the negativity disappeared after England put Iran to the sword.

The Three Lions netted six on Monday and are sat top of their group after Wales and the USA drew 1-1 in the other tie.

It was not all good news for England on Monday, though, as captain and leading goalscorer Harry Kane picked up a knock vs Iran.

It was reported on Tuesday that Harry Kane will have a scan on his ankle ahead of England’s next World Cup game against the USA.

Kane managed to stay on the pitch until the 75th minute when he was replaced by fellow striker Callum Wilson. After the game, Kane was walking with his right ankle lightly strapped, and with a slight limp.
