Insight provided into Kieran Tierney's stance on Arsenal future amid Real Madrid links

An insight into the mindset of Arsenal star Kieran Tierney, amid ongoing speculation surrounding his future ahead of the summer, has been provided on Friday.

Recent weeks, of course, have seen reports mount that one of European football's heavyweights in particular have set their sights firmly on Tierney's signature.

The outfit in question? Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are understood to have had their attentions piqued by the Scottish international's drive, versatility and impressive recent form, with some outlets having gone as far as to point towards an imminent ÂŁ50 million summer bid as a result.

With Tierney having long established himself as something of a fan favourite in north London, those of an Arsenal persuasion were therefore no doubt left concerned by the prospect of their defensive star having his head turned by one of world football's biggest clubs.

If the latest word stemming from the media on Friday is anything to go by, however, then such supporters need not fret.

As per a report from the reliable Chris Wheatley of, Tierney remains fully committed to the Gunners' efforts to re-establish themselves amongst the elite of English football:

''It's understood that the left back remains happy in north London and has no intention of leaving the club during the remainder of his long-term contract, which expires in the summer of 2026.''

Derby clash

Tierney, of course, will be expected to feature from the off next time out, when Arsenal mark their return to action on the back of the international break.

The Gunners are set to round out the upcoming Premier League gameweek when they make the trip across London on Monday night, for a derby meeting with club legend Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace.

Anything short of a three-point haul at Selhurst Park could well prove costly for Arteta and co, with Tottenham and Manchester United breathing down Arsenal's necks amid a tense battle for a top-4 berth in the English top-flight.
