Images: Fiorentina’s Alessandro Bianco left bloodied after Sivasspor fan attack

Images of the shocking scenes in the immediate aftermath of the meeting between Fiorentina and Sivasspor on Thursday evening have come to the fore online.

Serie A outfit Fiorentina made the trip to Turkey a short time ago, eyeing a spot in the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League on the back of a narrow victory in Tuscany this day last week.

And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what Vincenzo Italian’ troops went on to manage.

A dominant showing on this occasion saw the Viola cruise to a 4-1 triumph, courtesy of strikes on the part of all of Arthur Cabral, Nikola Milenkovic and Gaetano Castrovilli, alongside a Dimitrios Goutas own goal.

As alluded to above, though, on the back of the full-time whistle bringing a close to proceedings at The New Sivas 4 Eylül Stadium, ugly scenes marred what proved an otherwise fine night’s work for the visitors.

This came upon a member of the home crowd allowing his emotions to get the better of him.

Making his way onto the pitch from the stands, a Sivasspor supporter was spotted punching Fiorentina star Alessandro Bianco in the face.

The assault left its mark, too, with Bianco having taken to social media post-match to unveil a photo of his bloodied mouth:
