The agent of Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan has, on Friday, spoken out over claims that his client has agreed to make the move to Spain, with Barcelona.
For those who may have missed it, speculation linking German international Gundogan with a Camp Nou switch has ramped up in a major way over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after reports in the Spanish media went as far as to suggest that an agreement between the midfielder and Blaugrana head been reached, over the terms of a pre-contract to be signed this summer.
Gundogan’s current terms in Manchester are due to come to a close at the end of the season, with Xavi Hernandez and co, it is understood, long-term admirers.
Speaking to the press late on Friday evening, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his client’s alleged agreement with Barcelona was put to Gundogan’s agent, and uncle.
Ilhan Gundogan, though, appeared somewhat taken aback by such claims.
In fact, he went as far as to assure that ‘no agreement’ has been found with any club, with it ‘not yet decided’ where Gundogan will be plying his trade over the coming seasons.
