'He's like a hologram out there' - Liverpool fans slam one player in midst of Inter Milan clash

Liverpool are currently locked in a tense clash with Inter Milan at the San Siro in the first leg of their Champions League tie.

In a pulsating match, Sadio Mane has come closest for the away side, while Hakan Calhanoglu hit the underside of the bar for Simone Inzaghi's side.

And to begin the second half, the Reds faced a barrage from the home side, although Inter failed to make their dominance count.

That did not stop Liverpool's fans singling out one player for criticism as their side were firmly on the ropes, though.

Trent Alexander-Arnold hung out to dry

The man in question? Full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The defender has never been renowned for his defensive prowess, but struggled badly against veteran wide man Ivan Perisic in the opening stages of the second-half.

And social media users didn't hold back, as showcased in the tweets below.
