‘He is coming’ Arsenal target Declan Rice sends fans of one club wild with latest comments

The midfielder continues to fuel the flames

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has sent Bayern Munich fans wild by being shown on the latest West Ham videos speaking in German, fuelling speculation that he may be Allianz Arena bound this summer.

Arsenal were thought to be in pole position for the midfielder, and according to some reports have already thrashed out personal terms with the midfielder and had a bid turned down by the Hammers, who are holding out for around £100m for the 24-year-old.

They face plenty of competition, though, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool all having been linked with a move for the three-time West Ham player of the year, while recent interest has also come from German giants Bayern Munich amid speculation that Joshua Kimmich could be on his way out.

According to German reporter Florian Plettenberg, ‘Rice is the top priority’ for Thomas Tuchel, and ‘it’s believed that Bayern will be willing to meet West Ham’s price package’.

Now, Rice has fuelled those rumours, twice saying ‘Guten Morgen’ (Good morning in German) in West Ham’s latest training video, and sending some fans into overdrive about his potential next destination lying across the English channel.

Wherever he goes, he is expected to be expensive, with David Moyes saying in February that any move for the midfielder would likely set a new British record, which was set at £105m in January when Chelsea signed Enzo Fernandez.

Whether Bayern have the financial muscle to pull that off, with a new striker also high on their list, is another matter, but it seems certain that Rice will be on the move this summer.
