England faced off with Italy on Friday evening and lost 1-0.
The result relegated the Three Lions from the top Nations Leagues group and was the final straw for many fans who previously supported Gareth Southgate.
Harry Maguire was in from the off vs Italy. And whilst many players did not cover themselves in glory vs Robert Mancini and co., Maguire did very little wrong.
Now, following the game, Harry Maguire has been speaking about his form for Manchester United.
Maguire has only started three games for Manchester United this season, all of which they have lost.
His only win on the pitch this season came vs Sherriff in the Europa League when Maguire came on for the final minute.
“On my form, I don’t know what has been said, I don’t really read about it — I came off the back of three positive games with England in the summer, and a good pre-season, I felt really good,” Maguire said.
“Obviously, the manager [Ten Hag] decided to leave me out for a game, and the team have been winning since.
“I am not concentrating on anybody else and what people are saying, I think if people can make a story about me, I am #MUFC captain, it is going to make big news.”
